Making A Difference.
A very effective advertisement caught my attention a few days back. A candidate applies for a job in certain foreign country, while being interviewed he was asked that when can he reach the workplace. He mentioned the date but on that very day elections were supposed to be held. When he was asked about his vote, he said, "One vote will not make any difference". The interviewer replied, "When you cannot make a difference to your own country, how would you make a difference to ours". This sentence bound me to ponder upon.
I asked myself , "Out of such a large population, how many of them think like this gentleman?" If everyone starts thinking the same, how would our country get a deserving leader? Our electoral system believes in the power of majority, but what would be the value of that majority when majority of our county's population doesn't come forward to cast their votes? While I was asking these questions to myself, a statistics popped on my television screen which read, "Out of 800 million registered voters, 100 million would cast their votes for the first time in Lok Sabha".
Now doesn't this statement makes you think for a while that 100 million votes can make a huge difference to the majority. These 100 million have the power to make one government and on the other hand these votes can shatter one government's power.
I understand when people say, "sab ke sab chor hai, kyun vote kare hum". I say, "Jisne thodi kam chori kari ho use vote karo". I understand when people say, "Sare neta kaam chor hote hai". I say, "Jo neta thoda bhi kaam karta ho use vote karo". If you do not want to give your vote to anyone, click the button which says NONE OF THE ABOVE. Atleast the election commission would notice your opinion.
One can read newspapers, go through internet sites, watch news etc. that can help in the decision of whom to vote. The working of the current government in last 5 years can be found out and a call can be taken to cast our vote. All Indians have the right to obtain correct information. Please take a step forward, find out what is happening to your country, what the current government has done and can do in future. Take a call and cast your valuable vote.
Right to vote is one of the most important right given to us. Let us utilize and a create a difference.
Come forward and Make A Difference to yourself and your own land.

It's more of a mindset that most of us have that we as a single entity can't make a difference. And the quickly we change this, the better it is.
